With the new year I decided to challenge myself to use my craft supplies in new ways or to try new things with the loads of things I have that get too little attention.
For today's card I used a digital stamp from Crafty Secrets Deer Christmas collection that was designed for the Holidays in a new way, I wanted to turn it into a Valentine. By adding a glittered heart and an SRM Valentine sticker the image is transformed! I also used washi tape, a product that I love the idea of but rarely remember to reach for!
I added a splash of distress embossing powder and did the reverse embossing trick like this one and added a thick coat of coarse clear glitter to her tutu! The stamp was colored with copics and cut with an oval nestabilities in my cuttlebug, and popped up with foam tape.
I watched my first episode of Downtown Abbey while coloring the little darling in...I am not yet hooked {not even close}I think I will have to give it a few more episodes before I make a call as to whether I like it or not. I did however enjoy the process of coloring anyways! :)
make something pretty..XOXO Shantaie

Oh, I love this little mousie as a Valentine Ballerina! The coloring is perfection, too. Start at the very first episode of Downton ...or you won't be as likely to engage with the new season. It's a fun show, and Dame Maggie Smith always cracks me up!
