Puffy Santa Cap December Crafty Secrets Linky Party

I love Vintage Santa, he is so cheerful and rosy cheeked! Crafty Secrets has a new collection of the dearest old Santas you have ever laid eyes on! I chose this jolly man so I could show you how to make a puffy trim on his cap!

I printed my stamp and colored it in with copics complete with a set of pink cheeks, and a rosy little nose. I left a big portion of the image white, to add embellishments later.

To create that textured look apply a medium thick coat of Puffy dimensional fabric paint to his cap trim.

You can let it sit overnight to dry and puff up on its own {yeah right} or do what I do and hit it with the heat gun and watch all the Christmas magic! The paint will puff as it dries, and look just like fur trim! {I know cool!!!}

Now add a few finishing touches like snowflake sequins and a crepe paper round topped with a silver glitter star!

Be sure to play along with the Crafty secrets Linky party, not only will you get some of your Holiday projects done, but you could win some yummy crafty secrets prizes! It's a win win!

This is so incredibly sweet and retro fun! Your coloring is always fabulous. You should give a copic coloring tutorial. I love the idea of using that puff paint to create texture and dimension on this jolly ole' elf! You're always so clever!

As soon as my husband gets home I am out of here in search of puffy paint. Did you find it in Michaels? I often get disappointed when one of you USA crafters mentions a product which I can't live without...only to find it isn't sold in Canada. Your Santa is now my favourite Santa image as well. Your colouring is amazing.
