Merry and Bright Reverse embossing splatter.

I managed to squeeze in a little grown up coloring time in between wrapping gifts, and blowing my nose! { I caught the seasonal yuck} I have always loved coloring, but the artistic version of blending markers into an image is far more satisfying than crayons and grainy paper coloring books could ever be!

I started with a black and white digital stamp from the new Deer Christmas collection by Crafty secrets, and layered on the colors wrapping a gift during drying time ;) I used all copics except for the darkest shade of pink on the bow, for that I used a prisma pencil.

The shading took some doing..and patience {not my strongest attribute folks} but the real magic is the spatter of embossing powder, it is sprinkled directly on the stamp {this was a little nerve racking} so much time coloring!!! I melted it with a heat source from underneath, so no glue or ink to hold it in place, the powder kind of melts where it wants to and I love the snowy glimmertastic effect it created! I'm hooked!

There are so many really adorable stamps in this set, and you still have time to play with the wintry images, they are not all just for Christmas! Have fun creating!
Happy Christmas XOXO~ Shantaie

I love your faux snow! That is one of my favorite techniques, and I totally get how nervewracking it is to add it to a perfectly colored image! But wow...did it ever turn out beautiful! Thanks, Shantaie...and feel better soon!
