Stir, Mix, Blend

Have you seen the scrumptious blue Kitchen Aid mixer? It is so pretty, and it is way up on top of my wish list! ooooohhhhh or maybe the pistachio?  What color would you pick?

I love to bake, and with our kitchen revamp almost complete, I'm dreaming of a mixer update too. The one I'm using now is from the 60's and was my Mother-in-laws, it works okay but can't do the job a kitchenAid can. Since a new mixer is not in my budget today, I decided to make my own {paper} version! I may keep it on my kitchen counter for a few days just so I can look at it! ;) This too cute mixer cut is by Lori Whitlock  & is available at the Silouette store.
I cut out the mixer shaped card with the Silhouette and glittered it with my favorite coarse clear glitter.

I stamped this darling bitty cupcake from Stampin'Up!s Another great year stamp set with tuxedo black ink and colored it with Faber Castell watercolor pencils and an aquapainter.

I then coated the cupcake with glossy accents and sprinkled microbeads on the frosting!

All the greetings are from SRM stickers and are the perfect ingredients for a mixer card! I feel the need to whip up a batch of cupcakes and gift them just because! Lets be honest I'm not going to bake tonight, but I am going to enjoy my little paper crafted mixer!

Okay give me your votes, what color mixer do you want, own or dream of????

* update* guess what? this card was added a s one of the Splitcoast stampers favorite of the week! I'm honored and super excited!
