Crabby Surfer {and a giveaway}

Aloha friends! I'm maybe a little early for such a summery beach card, but here in Florida its always beach time, so forgive me! I stayed up waaaaay late last night playing with this card and having fun the whole time, so much fun that I totally lost track of time as I was trying "this and that"!! As a result there are lots of little details that I want to share with you. I bet the first thing you noticed is the fabulous cloud embossing folder...{gasp}!!! I can promise you that this folder is going to compete with my all time favorites! Its from a new cuttlebug set called skyward and its the perfect size for card making!

For the "sand" I used a torn piece of cardboard with a little ink along the edges, the waves were stamped tone on tone and shaded every so slightly with copics just along the tops of the swells, and a swipe with a white gel pen for a little ocean froth! The sun is a crimper circle and strips for the rays, I added little dots of gold smooch around the sun...{I'm not sure if I love that or not} the jury is still out!:D

Mr.Crabby pants here was colored with copics and spotted with a white gel and metallic pen, his eyes have a touch of gloss on them...but in retrospect I think I should have left them white, he looks like his eyes are bloodshot! {its all the saltwater in his eyes from surfing} *grin*

I promised you all a giveaway not to be missed, and I appreciate you popping back in to see what I have in store for you! I actually have five giveaways!

Five Pink Gypsy Sleeves!!

Leave a comment below and you will be entered to win one of 5 pink gypsy sleeves.

I will choose 5 random winners to be announced Monday May 21, if you are not a follower or an email subscriber be sure to sign up and never miss a post! Good luck!

Great card! I like the folder, too. (Just commenting, don't own a gypsy so don't need a cover;-))

Thanks for the chance to win the great give-away. My Gypsy would love some 'clothes'. Poor thing is naked. Again thank you for the inspiration. I am an email follower and look forward to your blog updates.

Love your "crabby" card! It has inspired me to come up with my own beach scene card to thank my brother for a lovely time on Hilton Head Island at his condo there. Thanks so much!
