The Perfect Day

I don't do a lot of layouts, but I always have fun...even if its frustrated "what does that empty space need?" kind of fun! I like to experiment with different things and many times it works and many times it does not! :) Today I put the new E2 Cricut expression Anniversary edition to work, using the super cute Just a note pre-loaded cartridge by Cosmo Cricket...and I printed my 12x12 paper with the Imagine and the hopscotch colors and patterns cartridge also by Cosmo Cricket.
I cut this Kite at 6.5" and really wanted it to be the second focal point of my page, you almost always want your photos to be the star of a LO, after all that is what you are preserving...the memories of our days!

I thought It would be fun to cut several of the kite ribbons to make a border of sorts, by stitching them in place, they really take on the look of a bigger kite off in the distance, and add whimsy and color! I struggled with the title more than any other part of the page...I originally used the "high as a kite" phrase from the cartridge, but cut it too large, the colors were too washed out and I tried to fix it with glitter....it turns out that glitter does indeed NOT fix everything...who knew?  LOL
 In the end this looks fabulous and I'm so happy I messed up the other title! {happy accidents are the best}

Stickers can be customized by layering them on your patterned paper or cardstock and hand trimmed, this is from American crafts walk in the park collection, and says it all! Embellishments that are not girly are hard for me, but I do like the simple clean look of this one!
Happy days, Happy creating, and Happy life!

Great layout and it looks like it was a great day :D. I just got my Imagine yesterday (won it on Everyday Cricut) and I'm hoping to get it set up :D. I'm sooo wanting Hopscotch. TFS!
