For most of us, home is the heart of our universe, its our haven, the one place that is truly ours. We decorate to suit our own tastes and personalities.A home should reflect the family that lives there. Little touches around the home really take your decorating to the next level. Lets have a little, "Pillow talk" shall we?
I made this gorgeous pillow with my multi tasking cuttlebug and cricut. I hope you will be inspired to look at you paper crafting tools in a whole new way, and unleash the potential they hold ,as home transforming tools!
Supplies: pillow form (16") used here, 2 yards of decorative trim, 3/4 yard of fabric, scrap of contrasting fabric, beacon 3-in-1 advanced craft glue, winter woodland cricut cartridge, sizzix flower layers die, pearls, blank stencil sheet, stencil brush, Delta blendable stencil creme in Tuscany colors.
How to:
1.Cut stencil, using the winter woodlands cartridge. I cut branch1 at 3 inches . And the bird at 2 3/4
2. Cut fabric, leaving a 5/8 seam allowance. Attach trim and sew pillow together leaving an opening large enough to insert pillow.
3. Place stencil in desired location, apply stencil creme. I layered the stencil and overlapped sections of branches. This creates a longer fuller branch, and color variations.
4. Stencil bird where desired, allow creme to dry following manufacturers directions.Insert pillow, and sew opening.
5. Cut flowers out of contrasting fabric. apply with beacon 3 in 1 advanced craft glue.
6. Apply clusters of small round pearls on small flowers, and oval pearls on larger flowers.
And while we are talking about decorating, don't miss out on your chance to WIN a cricut cake, the first personal electronic cutter for food products! Shantaie, this turned out beautifully! You did a sensational job :)
I really like it. I happen to be in the process of some Spring "energy" renewal in my home. The colors I chose are the colors you have here (although I didn't know we were on the same page). The bird makes it so special, the branch makes it pop, and the colors feel uplifting. I like the choice of the white background ( Ihadn't thought of that)which is versatile for all seasons. I just like playing with the fringes of the pillows and think it's a nice touch. Very creative and thought provoking. Thank You for sharing it with us all.
