Soft colors, sequins, paint splatters and lace. Spring is in the air and all over my crafty space! I gathered up some bits and pieces and layered them all together to create a sweet all occasion card.
I have been burning the candles at both ends these past few weeks and our mini Easter holiday was refreshing albeit far too short. I actually had to work on my taxes before my holiday was officially over, and seeing these pretty spring projects on my desk and on my craftroom shelves is so uplifting!
We tend to send text messages, tag friends in Facebook posts or send snapchats to stay in touch, but every now and then send a real live handmade card to brighten someones day with happy mail! I promise it will be appreciated!
I topped a rosette with lace, and dimensional butterflies complete with a clear sticker from SRM saying hello! I pleated a row of polka dot paper and tucked it just above the rosette for more texture! I always forget about washi tape so I've been placing a stack near me and using it more often...okay 2 little strips of tape on my card is not monumental but it IS more than usual! just sayin'*giggle*
My favorite part of this card is the bottom, I used my scoring tool to add a row of debossed lines and a fun little stitched border that begins just into the edge and ends with a neat little bow, not too fussy but a punch of color and tactile softness that I love so much!
Now I'm all done with taxes, and cleaning, but I do have 3 events to prepare for this weekend so I'm gonna treat myself to a little humor by way of a movie that will no doubt make me spit diet coke out of my nose...or at the very least make me snort!
keep making pretty things, you make the world a better place one grain of glitter at a time! XOXO~ Shantaie
