Pretty Pumpkin

I'm spending my last few days here in New York packing, putting things away for the winter and enjoying the very fall like weather {that I will undoubtedly miss like crazy as soon as we cross the Florida state line!}
The leaves are starting turn and blow off the trees and all I can think.....is its time for Pumpkin spice lattes!

In between cleaning up the barn, and packing up what seems to be way too many clothes for one person I took a little time out to color this happy jack-o-lantern and make a card! All of my papers and the stamp are from the Crafty secrets vintage Halloween CD

   I have to be honest .... at first the idea of a CD didn't seem appealing, but now that I have had a chance to work with them I LOVE having all that content without taking up any space in my already overflowing craft room! I have long enjoyed digital media of all forms for this same reason, and I find more and more I prefer the space over the stacks of stuff!
{ lets be real..I just use the added space for more and more embellishments, I'm a certifiable junkie!}

I'm really loving the spectrum noir markers, and only used 4 colors to bring the image to life, orange, yellow, dark yellow and a light shade of gray.I have an incomplete set so I just blend and blend until I have the shade I want, and they are easy to blend, I mean no talent required easy! {no I don't work for them , I just really like these markers!}

 I fiished up the image by trimming it and attaching it to a bingo card also from the aforementioned CD that is layered on a burlap banner and a kraft doily spritzed with raven glimmer mist, plus a sweet flag adorned with an SRM Halloween sticker and a big polka dot bow.
A sprinkle of sequins are the final touch, and the card is ready to hold a Starbucks gift card so I can share a Pumpkin spice latte with my friend long distance while we chat on the phone and shop!

Happy fall, happy creating, and happy pumpkins! ~ Shantaie
