What happens when you take a crafty secrets digital poppies stamp and print and cut it with the Silhouette Cameo and color it in with Spectrum noir markers? You get a rich beautiful image perfectly trimmed with NO hand cutting! {yay!}
I'm still really new at shading with spectrum noir markers, so I still make mistakes...and go out of the lines! :) I have copics, prisma pencils, and other coloring markers, all of them color beautifully in their own way, Spectrum noir markers are awesome for ease of saturation and build-able blending, I did add a few shaded areas with my prisma pencils because I don't own all of the markers yet.I added a pinch of flocking in the center, than a layer of glitter for sparkle and extra dimension!
*** my little tip, if you color your image after you cut it, use a tiny bit of adhesive to anchor it down to a flat surface so it doesn't slip and slide all over while you are ..ahem trying to color INSIDE the lines. :)
Now lets talk about how fantastically happy I am that I finally played around with my Silhouette and tried my hand at creating a cut file for digital stamps!!! I watched a few videos to get a feel for what I needed to do, this one by Connie Collins was really helpful. I used the same technique for the most part and it did take some time, a few errors, and bumbling around to finally get it right, but it cut perfectly the very first try!
A whole new world was opened up to me when I realized how many cool ways I can use this technique with my favorite craft room tool! {I know its not new but it is new to me!}

Stunning!!!
Of course the first thing I thought when I saw the poppy was, "Sleep. Sleep. Sleep," from Wizard of Oz!
So so pretty!!!
What a marvelous work of art! I love the colors and the coloring...the fabby details...and I am just so impressed that you created your own cutting file. Wow!
Hi Shantaie, the way you colored your poppy card so looks vibrant and pretty and I love how you cut it out. It's stunning!
