Faux embossed metal tutorial

I love trying out new ways to use my Cricut cuts, and this was so much fun to see the cardstock just transform! To start I cut the word lost with brown textured cardstock to use as part of my layout title.

To begin I mixed a small amount of pearl powder and liquid matte medium, mix thoroughly for an even color.

I like to use the empty paint cups they sell in the art section of Michael's they are usually attached like the kids painting kits and I just snip them apart for single use

Cover the cut with the paint mixture and allow to dry.

Now place painted and dry cut into and embossing folder lining up the the images you prefer to be embossed into your cut.And emboss

Now the fun part! use a sponge to add shades of silver, green, and rust inks for dimension.allow to dry.

apply a coat of clear embossing ink such as versamark and sprinkle with clear embossing powder, shake off excess and melt with a heat tool.

Tada! you now have a thick textured piece of paper that looks like metal the depth is amazing and shiny but still weathered and interesting!

Add your faux textured metal cut to you card or layout and enjoy !

Happy creating! Shantaie
