Face the sun

As a papercrafter I often see the world around me as an inspiration source for project ideas, a tile floor could become a background, a household object a shaped card or tag, an outfit provides a pretty color combo.

When I'm feeling like I need a push, I push myself to go window shopping for inspiration, sometimes the end result looks nothing like the original object, but

sometimes its a direct interpretation of whatever struck my fancy to begin with.

Like this card that was literally inspired into existence by this amazing room design. Hexagons have been trendy since well forever actually , but the way we use, color, and place them makes them downright chic!

I inked the edges of every hexagon, and placed them tile-like with about 1/8th of an inch apart. the colors pop and fade to white from right to left...or grow bolder from left to right.... you know perspective is everything! :)

I cut all of my shapes including the dimensional flower with the Silhouette. Here is the hexagon I used  cut @ 1.25" and here is the flower. I stamped my greeting with versamark and embossed it with yummy gold powder, Iv'e said it before, and it bears repeating "pastels and gold are stunning", they are beyond trendy & immediately catch the eye!

Happy creating, XOXO Shantaie
