4 You Teacher

Is there anything more delicious than a shaped card....I always gravitate towards them because they tell a big part of the story before you even read the sentiment or open it up to see whats inside. I made this for a friend that was just named teacher of the year at the Elementary school where she teaches. How exciting is that?!!! Most of my best friends are teachers {or were teachers at one time} I'm not sure why I tend to be a teacher magnet...maybe its because they are usually animated and talk as much as I do {lol} or because they are nurturing spirits, but whatever the reason I appreciate all they do for our community.

I kind of think the apple is a wee bit overdone when it comes to school projects {don't send me hate mail just yet, let me explain} I know some images are absolute icons, but they do get boring after a while if we don't make them over from time to time. So add a bit of lace or use a really unexpected paper or color combo to spice it up a little. I used paper from 3 different sources the base layer is a paper printed with the Cricut Imagine, the leaves are cut with Cosmo Cricket Early bird and the apple is Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934

This card was cut with The Cricut Expression, using the Just because cards cartridge, and uses the Its a wrap Holidays Stampin'Up! stamp set, and a "teacher" sticker from the SRM  stickers quick cards line.
Be sure to thank the teachers who shape the days your children spend at school for all they do!
Happy Creating~
