Lets Let It Snow

Let it snow , Let it snow, let it snow....Not likely here in sunny Florida, but a girl can still make cards about snow!! In fact I have all the snow I need lined up on my glitter shelf! As you may remember I hosted a little Holiday get together a couple of weeks ago, this is one of the 5 cards we made {if we were not too busy talking and eating candy} Ahem...yep you guessed it I did not get anything done that day! :) Anyhoo....this card was inspired by a card my daughter fell in love with in the papercrafts Holiday cards issue by Beth Opal. I used the gypsy to create my own word art "snow" that would fit perfectly on a standard 4.25" X 5.5" card with a layer. For a copy of that gypsy file click here.

A tag with let it snow stamped in gray says it all! I added a sheer snowflake ribbon and a "snowball" to embellish the card but not take away from the real design element. Now For me I would coat the word in glitter or mica flakes and use foam tape to pop it up, But I like this version for mass production!

I really like the pink and steel gray for a surprise Christmas color combo, its so pretty!  I promised a giveaway this weekend, and I have a cute cute cute cartridge for a lucky winner!

Hello Kitty Font! This cartridge will go out to one of my followers, just leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite Christmas colors! How easy is that? Plus I love learning more about you!!! I will go first, I honestly love the golds, creams, silver and white, my tree has all white lights and glittered pine cones, snowflakes, and gold and coppery brown glass balls. I love the metallics of the season mixed with natural elements and icons, like birds, and mushrooms. I'm sure it comes as no surprise to you that I like shiny things! LOL
I can't wait to hear from you! Don't forget to grab that gypsy file here and leave a comment to enter into the giveaway, if you are not an inkingpink follower yet, take a second and sign up, let me know you are new....and I will have a special gift for a new follower too! Winners will be announced Tuesday AM...Good luck and happy creating!

I'm very traditional when it comes to Christmas. Silver and gold, red and green, although I like my red to be deep, almost crimson

I love your pink and steel gray combo - it's so Florida winter.

I can't settle on just a few colors - my tree is very diverse. But lately while crafting, I have been drawn to kraft brown, white, red, and turquoise.

Hi, let me ask this first so someone will see. Can anyone help me with the gypsy file please? I can download but I don't know how to open/use. I have never been able to use any of the awesome gypsy files I have seen. Please e-mail me at lisabesst@gmail.com.
Oh, the holidays. I love all the glitz and shimmer. My tree is mostly varied shades of golds, some cream, burgundy and clear frosted bulbs with silver glitter designs. Every year we add a personalized ornament as well. For the rest of the decor? Lots of reds and silvers, jingle bells, and glittery snowmen!

HI Shataie,
My favorite colors are the powder blue and pinks and reds mixed like we had in our Stampin' Up! Papers a few weeks ago. It makes for a fun whimsical card, but I am talking cards here!
This year I am loving our Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler and Early Expresso for cards.
For home decor' I call my style "snowman vintage" and I like cranberry and evergreen colors.
I have the cart so if I win, please give it to the person in line after me! That is very generous of you. Love that cart.
Your card is cute and love the colors!!!

I love the traditional red and green, with a little sparkly white, but with a seven year old daughter who loves pink, I've been adding that color to my Christmas palette.

Most of my decorations are pretty traditional Christmas colors, but I am a red girl. I will choose it (in most shades) over other colors.
