Fabulous Finds Collections

I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite collections with you. These vintage bird salt and pepper shakers are among my most treasured, they are not particularly valuable but I still hold them in high regard. They sit on a shelf in my summer cottage and I only get to see them for the 3 months that I am here.

This was the first set that I picked up at the community tag sale many years ago, I had no idea at the time that I would ever see another set like them. I just was taken with their sweet little bird faces and carved roses.

I'm not sure how many different companies produced these, but all of mine are different sizes and have a slight color variation.

This set is certainly the most worn, its a bit tarnished but I have never tried to clean it or alter it in any way, I actually love how delicate and ornate this set is and its my favorite of them all.

I have not found a set in a couple of years, but I search everywhere I go, the hunt is part of the allure to collecting. When you finally spy what you have been seeking its such an exhilarating feeling of victory!

What do you collect? {other than  paper crafting supplies LOL} I would love to hear from you about your search for treasures.

I love that you have three of the same type (which are still all different at the same time lol).

I collect old typewriters (at one point I had 17, I think I'm at 8 or 9 at the moment (I also move a lot). They are usually something special I see at a thrift store or tag sale. Friends and family start shaking their heads.

I also collect Eiffel Towers (replicas, I have a larger one in the garden for the beans to grow up, lots of smaller ones and about 15 Eiffel Tower rubber stamps). If PC wants to ensure a cart will be purchase by me, they just have to put an Eiffel Tower on it lol (ok, it has to look nice, but it's the Eiffel Tower right?)

Wanted to let you know I have a set of these birds. There is no cork but plastic,no marking underneath, so I'm thinking a replica, but I believe you may have the same as well. Not only am I not sure what this piece is worth, I'm equally unsure that I want to part with them.
