One Stitch At A Time

I have been so excited to break open these new stamps from TCP Studio, this set called "sewing" jumped into my shopping basket so fast I had to look around to make sure know one was giving me the "what are you doing over there" look! To say that I enjoyed making this card is an understatement. I started with the Mojo Monday sketch {love that diagonal bow} and water colored the pin cushion with Stampin' Up! markers and an aquapainter.

I knew the moment I saw the sketch that I wanted to use this cuttlebug embossing strip called measureworks, I embossed on Core'dinations paper and sanded the top generously to reveal the white core.Hee hee I adore the idea of a ruler on a sewing card!.Don't you just adore this paper by The Girls Paperie? Its called On Holiday...I need more of it!!! The polka dots are divine!

This sentiment really spoke to me because I  made this for a dear friend who is my "soul sister" .Since the day we reconnected after years of not being in contact as children.. We met again as adults and we were so alike it was amazing! We have had many adventures, shared our deepest secrets, and lift each other up when times are tough. One stitch at a time our friendship has become stronger and stronger, and even though we are miles apart, our threads hold us together.

I had a blast searching through my sewing supplies looking for embellishments that would fit this card... sew much fun!

Love everything about it, but the best part is the overall theme. Well done!
