Wood you be mine?

In the pursuit of using my long lost and sadly forgotten stamps, I have been pulling sets off the shelves and admiring them lovingly! Wouldn't you agree that there is something so therapeutic about smooching a stamp into an ink pad and hearing that "tap tap tap" sound as you apply an image to blank paper! This card was based on this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, and a funky crumb cake and cherry cobbler color combo....I don't know about you, but that makes me hungry for dessert :)
I'm crazy about the wood grain background stamp, and hello that little heart from inch by inch {Stampin Up!} are a match made in rubber stamp Heaven! I put my Cricut expression and the wild card cartridge to work on these hearts, I got all "clever" by flipping the center of the heart frames over to show the reverse side of that pretty paper *hee hee*

This ribbon is originally red and I had to change that by spraying it {drowning it is more like it} with glimmer mist antique brass spray. I hit it with my heat gun to speed things up a LOT because I got all kinds of spray happy.............and I do mean all kinds of wet ribbon! :)  * note to self* you do not need to soak the ribbon to get the color you want!!!

Shantaie, it's a beauty! Love the wood grain, too :) Very sweet, and thanks for the good tip about the ribbon!

Shantaie, it's beautiful, rustic, love the small touches. The button, twine, and red, my favorite color!
