Sat CHA

We all love our adhesives, as crafters its one of our favorite things, At the love my tape booth I discovered this gorgeous line of masking tapes and fabric tapes. They are breathtaking! I had to have some of the fabric tape...'cause that's how I roll!

Where else can you buy so much rubber? There were bins and bins of  images.

If you know me than you know how much I love the magnetic tins that hang on the walls of my craft room, these button filled containers made me just a bit homesick... well not really, but I did love this pretty display of button perfection!

There were pretty displays all around, trouble was it was just too busy to get any clear shots of anything. I loved that CHA was for all crafting, from paper to quilting no craft was left behind!

This tree of tags was one of 3, it was beautiful in person crop stop lives up to their name and stopped me in my tracks with one of the most unusual displays of the weekend.

Provocraft did not disappoint!! Large elaborate displays featuring the new cartridges were awe inspiring to be sure! This house is BIG and super cool! I'm not sure how they did it but I'm impressed! We got to see the imagine machine "do its thing" and boy will it ever change the paper crafting world. Its just the most amazing machines to hit the market in .............well forever!

LOOK AT THIS HOUSE FIT FOR A PRINCESS!!!
I wish  I had this dream house when I was a young girl, let me tell you I would have moved in and never come out :) What can I say its pink, its a castle, its made of paper, and its gorgeous! I LOVE this!

How fun are these super heroes? The large 3D justice league duo are one of my favorite promo pieces of the weekend. I really wanted to stuff them in my bag, but they were almost as tall as I am!

Gasp!! its Woody and Buzz, can you just imagine the hit these would make at a birthday Party? I kept looking for the pull string to make woody say "there's a snake in my boot" but no dice :) I'm stalking the store for this cartridge I can promise you that!

CHA Friday

Having a Blast at CHA !!!

There is so much ground to cover and so many great companies to see. I have to say the best part of such a large gathering, is meeting all the wonderful friends that you have blogged with and talked to for so long!!! What a fantastic hobby we enjoy, and the happy cheerful faces all around are proof that paper crafting may not be cheaper than therapy, but its certainly more effective!!!  *grin*

Look at this handsome bug I got to meet, this long time friend was not very talkative, but I sure was happy to meet cricut in person...or in bug...or in costume, well its complicated!!! Cricut was so patient with all of our camera technical difficulties, it must have been awfully hot in there! Thanks Cricut!!

Smore fun 2 Go!

Its summer time and what says summer more than camping, togetherness and a great gift set to go!
This is a recycled 4 pack soda container, I used the delicious quite contrary line from my minds eye, its such a great paper for this set. I love oooey goooey melted chocolate all smooshed between graham crackers and marshmallow..Yummy! I cant think of a better gift :)

I had to get a little creative with this, and found a fun "twig" on the winter woodland cricut cartridge I snipped a couple of areas off to make a more stick looking cut, and sponged the edges in vanilla craft ink.The letters were cut with Plantin cartridge and were embossed with the diamond folder, some were popped with layers of foam tape, you know how much I love dimension! Now for my handmade marshmallow that even Martha Stewart would be proud of *wink* I cut a rectangle and rounded the corners with a punch, sanded with a sanding block and sponged for a slightly "toasted' appearance..not too shabby!!

Each compartment holds a separate smores component, graham crackers, bagged marshmallows, chocolate bars, and a big box of matches...good to go! Well I have to admit that my daughter has stealthily made all the chocolate disappear, time for a refill before I can give it to anyone!

My most used stamp set of the moment is teeny tiny wishes from Stampin'Up! With a ton of little greetings perfect for every occasion, its the best set ever...well until the next best set ever!

More great Plantin letters, and a fun tag that says it all! I hope you are inspired to recycle your soda bottle containers into a great gift! As always happy creating :)

Feelin' Crabby?

I'm feelin' crabby today too! But I mean a good kind of crabby, a "lets go to the beach" crabby a "its time to cherish the summer" crabby! You can't help but smile when you see this adorable crab cut with create a critter cricut cartridge, I know crabs are typically red, but mine is of course PINK, melon mambo to be exact :)

A perfect gift for a summer house guest or pool party this bright stripey towel is dressed to give with an equally bright ribbon and Jumbo decorated tag.I know most of you are like me in that gift giving is a much about the packaging as it is the gift itself, and this tag packs a presentation punch!!

I fashioned a itsy bitsy flag with a toothpick and a pennant, its just tucked into crabby's claw and secured with a glue dot.The "sand" is crumb cake card stock embossed with swiss dots....I couldn't figure what embossing folder looked most like sand, then I decided a pink crab can walk around on dotted sand if she wants too!

I always layer my cuts for maximum dimension, a flat cut can leave your project looking rather dull and lifeless. I wanted this tag to be the life of the party!

The shells too were embossed, and the whole tag got a misting of my newest obsession...smooch spritz in vanilla....seriously I have to lock it up to keep from spritzing everything in sight! I LOVE that stuff!

I hope you are enjoying your summer, but most of I hope you're feelin' Crabby!
happy creating,

Sleeping Beauty Invitation

You're Invited To our Sweets soiree.

OK To be fair we did already eat the cake, and the cookies! But if you want to come over I could be persuaded to gather a few more sweet treats.Trust me you wont have to twist my arm, especially if chocolate and tiaras are involved! this invitation was cut with the cricut expression, and could also be cut using a template. I cut out 2 teapots and scored the teapot just below the "lid" this is the back of the card. The two were adhered together to make a shaped card..how easy is that?

My daughters each had a select few favorite Disney movies...don't get me wrong we love them all, but there were a couple that I just new the VCR had memorized, and really didn't need the tape to be pushed back in upon rewinding in order to play it again. One of those cherished movies is Sleeping Beauty, who can resist the scene of the dress transforming magically from pink to blue and back again? I ask you, who? In honor of that favorite scene our party just had to be pink and blue.

In the previous post I shared our cake and table decorations, if you missed it you can see it here
Now how many cakes do I need to bake? RSVP :)

Tower Of Teacups

Have you ever seen a more enchanting tower of non breakable teacups? This wonky centerpiece is topped off with a rhinestone swirl, I just cut really close to the acetate packaging it comes on, and attached the swirl to the back of the tippy top tea cup.
Bella bleu {stampin Up} and a pretty patterned print cut with the once upon a princess cricut cartridge in various sizes staring at 2 3/4 and going down .25  each cut, just tip and turn them the way you like and assemble with foam tape.

My girls are quite grown up, but I like to think the inner princess stays forever young :)  Aurora is one of our favorites, and of course they indulged my fantasy party in exchange for lemon frosted cake...princesses are so easily bribed you know. *wink*

One of my vintage pink cake plates was so proud to be the lucky one to leave the cabinet after being cooped up for a year!I really should not neglect my pink glass collection after so many years of gathering it. I made these title place cards for our little sweets soiree, and can serve double duty as both, a party favor or an embellishment for a layout. The happily ever after cricut cartridge has all your favorite Disney divas!

A great way to display a princessy cake is to place a tulle skirt under the cake on the cake stand, that way your table really is properly dressed.I sure hope you were inspired to throw a party of your own even if its just because you feel like honoring your Inner princess.

Happy creating,
