Wishing You Peace

Good Monday to you! I hope you had a nice weekend! Recently I have had some time to reflect on the Holiday season and what is important to me, I have been recovering from a minor surgery in my mouth and having my wisdom teeth taken out. I have come to a realization that was quite hard for me to accept....that I will not be a Holiday Wonder Woman this year! {WHAT????} That brings me to the card I'm sharing today, a clean and simple card.Yep simple!

Today on splitcoast the challenge is a sketch, for me the challenge is to keep it simple, but you know I just have to get my Christmas cards done -and like it or not I do not have the time to create 75- hour long each  masterpieces...and you know what? That is OK :) {really it is}  I'm sure a note from our family is better than no card at all! We have to learn that the world will not come to a screeching halt if we don't make 26 kinds of cookies, buy a gift for our neighbors niece or send a card to our cousins boss! :) We MUST enjoy the season, we must embrace our own Peace On Earth! Swearing at the old lady who has 17 items and not the 10 or less in the speedy checkout lane is NOT what the Holidays are all about...somewhere along the way we have been pushed to do more than we can, more than we want too, and its obvious in every shopping mall parking lot that we are at our breaking point! LOL

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Holidays and want to soak up every bit of its warmth and festivities, I will bake and make peanut brittle and wrap gifts while sipping hot chocolate listening to winter wonderland, but I will NOT be wearing a cape or driving an invisible plane {OK the golden lasso sounds pretty cool} I'm no Wonder Woman, and I'm pretty happy with that :)

Card details:
5x5 square, scallops nestabilities, Stamps Peacful Season Stampin'UP, gold, hunter, shimmer paper, gold ink embossing powder, gold elastic cord.

I love this simple card - I agree, I really think we need to reflect on what is important and it is not the 27 different kinds of cookies.

What a gorgeous card. The colors are stunning! I'm in the middle of a 24 Days of Cards on my blog, where I show some of the cards I made this year. There are also two days left to enter my December Card blog is and the Challenge info is on a page at the top of the blog. I hope you'll enter...your card is perfect for it! The prize this month is a Gingerbread cartridge! Karelj

Me either Shantie!! LOL. I'm sifting through my handmade Christmas cards this afternoon and figuring out which ones to mail whom (which won't take too long as I only have less than 2 handfuls) and everyone else will be getting some nice gold foiled store-boughten cards. Just can't do em all! Like you said. We have to create our OWN peace-ful Christmas season and that's exactly what I intend to do.

LOVE your "Simple" cards-- they are beautiful!
Enjoy the simple pleasures of this Christmas season. Hope you're feeling tons better! Hugs!
