Four Years Old....Does not compute!
It will soon be my beloved nephew Mario's 4th Birthday, I just cant believe how quickly time flies! Little Mario LOVES to get cards, and this one has a lot going on for him to enjoy, lots of texture ,color, and a fun chipboard "4" to remind him of his special new number!
This sketch from mojo monday really gave me the springboard I needed to pull all of my ideas together. I don't know about you but I find a good sketch can take a lot of the guesswork out of a project and allow you to let your creativity loose in the craft room!
I had a little brainstorm to make a copy of a measuring tape onto card stock and layer it on a silver metallic ribbon to look like a tape measure, it clearly shows the transition from three to four...I know he wont "get it" but it makes me smile :)
Check Out the fun star machine stitch!! running along the side of the image. This is a great way to add a wow detail by using a tool already in your arsenal {if you have a sewing machine that is}
These super cute screw head eyelets were screaming to be put to use on this card...more dimension, more 4 year old fun!
I will be creating more robot Birthday cute-ness next week!
Let me know what you think....robo girl likes comments.
She eats them for breakfast, with bolt and nut granola :)
