I'm having a ton of fun playing with the new
Stampin'Up! in colors. Its always an adventure finding color
combinations that work, I stumble my way around the papers until I like something. I
n this case I wanted to team up the Bermuda Bay and Basic Black...Summer Sun looks so pretty with this duo. I used the Pink flamingo designer series paper on this box, because it so bold and happy! It was gloomy and rainy all day yesterday I needed some "happy" :)

This week for
Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday the assignment is to make an A2 box,
that's code lingo for a box that standard size 41/4x51/2 cards will fit into. she has step by step instructions, and fantastic samples for you so go check it out and play along {its fun}

The border of the lid was decorated with the eyelet border punch, and a strip of summer sun,
The flower was made with the
sizzix flower layers 3, sponged with crushed curry and crumpled, and holes punched with the
cropodile, then layered and a
corduroy brad in summer sun placed in the center

I used the mat pack to line up the edges and pierce along both long strips, and to apply the white gel pen dots on the black.
