Wonderful Friend

This wonderful sketch is from Silke Ledlow at Our Creative Corner This is a "go to" kind of layout that can be used again and again with successful results. I monkeyed around with the leaf a little but in the end decided to go with the cocoa sponged version. I'm completely in LOVE with the friends 24-7 stamp set. Its so pretty and timeless. The flower is stamped in versamark and embossed in gold on water color paper. I colored the images with stamp n write markers and a blender pen.
I utilized my nestabilities for the circle element on the card by layering 2 scallop circles, and a scallop rectangle for the greeting.I added a teardrop pearl to my ribbon with linen thread, I like the contrast of the delicate pearl and the rugged linen. How its made:
paper. close to cocoa, parisian breeze, baja breeze, vanilla, water color
stamps. warm words, friends 24-7
ink. versa mark, close to cocoa
accessories. gold embossing powder, ribbon, nestabilities, sewing mach., cuttlebug, markers, blender pen, pearl, matt pack, sizzix leaf die dimensionals
The winning Egg.
This is the winner of the Easter egg decorating contest at our annual Easter party appropriately named "Deviled Egg" we had some great entries this year and this was voted the favorite. My daughter Chelsea is the designer!! :) She has won 3 years running!!
